First Blog post on Printmaking 2017

Well, I thought I'd try keeping tabs on my experiments and exploration with various printmaking processes. My daughter says I'm a process person. Show me a new way to create prints and I'll figure out how to do it as long as I can do it in a healthy manner here at home.
I've been exploring polyester plate lithography for the past couple years. Love the way you can play with images in Photoshop, print your image from a laser printer (toner only, no ink jet) onto a polyester plate. Then roll up the image using oil base ink, wipe with water and gum arabic. Run plate with damp paper through an etching press and there you have it! 4 color separations are cool...
